Haridwar. A case of raping a young woman on the pretext of getting her a job and pushing her into prostitution has come to the fore. Jwalapur Kotwali police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim. While taking action in the case, the police arrested a youth along with two women. On Monday, the victim, a resident of Upper Road Haridwar, filed a case against the named accused for raping her, pushing her into prostitution and threatening to kill her if she did not cooperate. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case under several sections on the basis of Tahrir. Taking the matter seriously, the Senior Superintendent of Police ordered to take action. Police team and AHTU team were formed to arrest the accused. The main accused woman accused Sheela Rani along with her son Sunny and daughter Sadhna were arrested from a house near the newly constructed Dev Green Colony near Ramanand College by raiding the constituted team. Another minor victim brought for prostitution was also recovered from the spot.

Who introduced him to a person named Bunty, a resident of Jwalapur. Bunty took the girl to a colony located behind a college in Jwalapur. Where two women forced the girl to have an illegal relationship with an unknown person and threatened to kill her if she did not cooperate and the girl was raped.

The accused woman is originally from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. She used to reside in Haripur Kala Dehradun. In the year 2013, after a dispute with her husband, she started doing prostitution business. The woman started living in Haridwar in the year 2015. The accused woman changed houses at several places and started living in a rented house in Devgreen Colony Jwalapur in April 2023. In this house, the woman along with her son Sunny, daughter Sadhna and son-in-law Vipin Kant started doing prostitution business by forming a gang. The accused gang members used to bring poor girls from Haridwar, Delhi etc. in the name of providing them work and arranged for customers in their house and got them engaged in prostitution. The son and son-in-law of the accused woman used to bring customers and the woman along with her daughter used to supervise the girls and make arrangements for their food. In the year 2018, the accused woman went to jail from Raipur Dehradun police station in a murder case. Currently out on bail.
